Steve Olson has more than 25 years’ experience specializing in real estate sales and valuations. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker and Certified Residential Appraiser. He holds the RAA, MCP,  TRC, SFR and BPORdesignations and certifications. He received the Realtor of the Year award  for 2011 from the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association and in 2006-2007 Steve was  Chair/President of the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association. He recently completed six years on the Board of ReColorado. He earned an International Business Diploma from the  International School of Business in The Netherlands as well as a BA from the University of Puget  Sound.

Steve is a dedicated instructor who strives to provide topical information in the ever changing Real Estate industry. He welcomes class participation and interaction in an effort to  make learning a fun experience.

Jon Goodman has been a real estate attorney in Colorado for over twenty-five years, he is a shareholder at Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein P.C., and has been since 1994. Jon has published hundreds of real estate articles and is a frequent speaker on dozens of topics for the real estate industry. Clients include mortgage lenders (banks, savings and loans, mortgage companies), real estate brokers and salespersons, real estate companies, developers, property management companies, builders, subcontractors, suppliers, buyers and sellers. As an experienced real estate attorney, Jon has been quoted in various publications including, the Wall Street Journal, the Denver Post, and the Rocky Mountain News. Jon presents various programs, workshops and seminars for real estate professionals, including real estate brokers, lawyers, mortgage brokers and appraisers.

Jordan May is a practicing real estate attorney and shareholder at Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein P.C. Jordan is a trial lawyer trying complex civil and real estate cases to judges, juries and tribunals across the state of Colorado. Jordan has argued cases to state and federal trial courts, Colorado courts of appeal, as well as the Office of the Administrative Courts. Serving as an associate municipal judge for the City of Englewood from 2009 to 2013 provided Jordan with a unique “from the bench” perspective on litigation which helps in the development of effective trial strategy. Jordan works closely with his clients to tailor a litigation strategy to meet a client’s particular goals ranging from carefully calculated trial strategy to creative settlement scenarios.

As a former licensed Colorado real estate broker engaging in residential and commercial buy-sell transactions as well as property management, Jordan developed a practitioner’s transactional perspective on the real estate industry. Jordan regularly speaks to real estate professionals and trade groups regarding regulatory issues, risk management, negotiation strategy, contract issues, as well as state professional license discipline among other topics.

Colorado divorce lawyer Gregg Greenstein has over 29 years of experience assisting clients with all aspects of divorce and family law. Gregg works closely with clients to achieve their particular goals, providing counsel in resolving all issues concerning the divorce process. Michael Smeenk

Mr. Smeenk counsels clients in real estate, estate planning and estate administration matters. He joined Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein, P.C. in 2007 as an attorney and became a shareholder in 2015. In his real estate practice, Mr. Smeenk advises buyers, sellers and real estate brokers through all phases of purchase, sale and lease transactions. He has guided many clients through the nuances of loan modifications, short sales and foreclosures, and has settled or renegotiated tens of millions of dollars in loan obligations. He also advises real estate brokers in Colorado Real Estate Commission and federal compliance matters. As an estate planning attorney, Mr. Smeenk routinely drafts wills, trusts, powers of attorney and living wills for clients. He also creates asset protection and gifting vehicles, including LLC’s, family partnerships and complex trusts. His experience in drafting and implementing estate plans provides valuable insight when working through the probate administration process. In estate administration proceedings, Mr. Smeenk represents personal representatives, trustees and beneficiaries to ensure that post-death matters are administered appropriately. He also represents clients in connection with guardianship and conservatorship cases. Before practicing law full time, Mr. Smeenk gained practical small business management experience in growing from an intern to a Vice President / Corporate Counsel role with an event production company. His previous position as a licensed Mortgage Broker in North Carolina provides him with a functional understanding of property financing issues. Currently, Michael loves being a new dad and getting out for adventures with his family and dogs.

T. Damien Zumbrennen

T. Damien Zumbrennen

Damien is a real estate and employment law specialist. In real estate, Damien helps his clients with a broad array of real estate related disputes and transactions. He has extensive experience in landlord/tenant law, easement and property line disputes and modifications, neighbor disputes, HOA litigation, actions to quiet title, and many other types of cases involving real property. He also assists brokers in connection with their efforts to buy, sell and manage real estate within DORA’s regulatory framework and in disciplinary cases before the Colorado Real Estate Commission. As an employment law specialist, Damien represents clients in state and federal court as well as mediation and arbitration. Damien is highly experienced in the successful litigation of multi-plaintiff and individual-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, whistleblower, retaliation, wage-and- hour and other employment related lawsuits under state and federal law. Damien also has extensive experience in the preparation and review of independent contractor agreements, employment contracts, and workplace policy manuals. When representing employers, Damien coaches management to implement “best practices” that help prevent formalized disputes while also preparing for litigation or arbitration if such disputes cannot be avoided. Damien also has substantial experience counseling clients on a range of commercial disputes involving individuals, partnerships, corporations and other business entities. In this role, Damien is often consulted regarding claims for breach of contract/fiduciary duty, business torts, partnership disputes, trade secret litigation and other disputes involving failed business transactions resulting in financial loss.

Zac Grey

Mr. Grey focuses his practice on real estate transactions and oil and gas matters. He joined Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein, P.C. in September of 2016.

Mr. Grey represents buyers, sellers, real estate agents, builders, and developers in a variety of real estate transactions. He has advised clients on matters concerning buy/sell contracts, construction contracts, assignments of leases, party wall/HOA arrangements, warranty agreements, and easements/rights of way. Mr. Grey strives to further the client’s business goal through an efficient, common-sense approach.

Within the oil and gas industry, Mr. Grey has represented start-up oil and gas companies in the acquisition of leasehold and well interests in the Rocky Mountain region. He has advised clients in the negotiation and interpretation of oil and gas leases, purchase and sale agreements, and joint operating agreements. On the title side, Mr. Grey has analyzed chains of title and drafted drilling title opinions in Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Utilizing his oil and gas expertise, he represents operators, land service companies, mineral buyers, and landowners, but also real estate clients searching for comprehensive representation from the surface to the center of the earth.

Prior to joining Frascona, he worked for a Denver law firm and served as an in-house operational landman for a Fortune 500 exploration and production company in Oklahoma City. Mr. Grey received his Juris Doctor from The Penn State Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook on Arbitration and Mediation Law Review. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Wofford College, where he played defensive back as a full-scholarship member of Wofford’s NCAA Division I FCS football team. Mr. Grey is admitted to practice in the state of Colorado and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Before becoming a shareholder, Ms. Manzano worked as an associate with the firm as well as another Colorado law firm. Prior to that, she was an attorney in Florida. She has been an attorney since 1994.

Ms. Manzano represents a variety of clients, including homeowners, property managers, homeowner associations (HOA’s) throughout Colorado in construction defect cases or other matters. Ms. Manzano also works with sellers, buyers, real estate brokers, builders, contractors, engineers, architects, other construction professionals or business owners with the drafting of their contracts, mechanic’s liens, business questions or negotiations.

Maria M. Petrocco

Maria M. Petrocco focuses her practice on diligently representing the interest of the landowners and mineral owners in oil & gas transactions. She has gained much experience with oil & gas leases, surface use agreements and royalty issues. Mrs. Petrocco has never represented the interests of the oil companies and remains loyal to the surface and mineral owners. Mrs. Petrocco represents landowners, developers, farmers and ranchers, investors, construction companies, owners of equestrian centers, and individual sellers and buyers in a variety of real estate matters. She has extensive experience in due diligence, acquisition and sales. She has also represented several landowners with title problems in quiet title actions. Her experience in the title industry compliments her real estate practice by giving her a thorough knowledge of available title products, title searches and settlement processes. Mrs. Petrocco was raised in New York and graduated from the University of Denver with a B.S. in Psychology. She graduated from the University of Denver School of Law in 1981 with the highest distinction as a Member of the Order of St. Ives, and was an editor for the Denver Law Review Journal. She was previously associated with Fidelity National Title Company, and several prominent law firms. She was also an adjunct professor at Arapahoe Community College where she taught real property law and contract law in the paralegal program. She is the author of the article entitled “When Deeds of Trust Bite the Dust” which was published in the December 1998 issue of The Colorado Lawyer.
